Brenda Hanserd

Brenda Hanserd was elected to the Phoenix AKARAMA Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors in 2005. Born in Mesa, Arizona, Brenda is a graduate of the University of Arizona where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Ms. Hanserd began her career in health care finance as an accountant and continued to progress in the health care field. Currently Ms. Hanserd works for Care1st Health Plan Arizona as the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer.

Ms. Hanserd is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a member of the YMCA Community Initiative Steering Committee, and serves as the treasurer of her church, Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. In her spare time, Ms. Hanserd enjoys watching sports, traveling and being active in her church.
